Free WordPress Theme – KeKo

KeKo is a 2 columns fixed width Wordpress theme with theme option and twitter integrated. This urban grunge style theme is suitable for use on any niche blogs such as music, personal, social, etc.

- 2 column and 3 column footer
- Widgetize sidebar
- Adsense loop integrated
- Twitter integrated
- Customize category, archive and tag page with post excerpt and thumbnail (seo purpose)
- 6 125×125 banner ready (controlable via theme option)

A special wordpress theme. I like theme icons after single articles. What’s the most important is that it’s a free theme!
Hi – nice theme but have a couple of problems.
The search form doesnt work – after a little research I found that the code in searchform.php is wrong, at the moment it shows the action as (’home’) instead of (’home’). Simply put – wrong quote marks are being used.
The default footer (wp_footer) is in the wrong place – its half way up the code where it should be just before the end of the body tag. I use the default code and need stuff at the end of the page, any chance of changing the footer as I dont know how to change it due to the crypted code.

search doesn’t work. there is an encoding error in the file searchform.php in the phrase . just need to edit that file and insert the correct ‘ symbol around the word home.
also, please note that there are grammatical mistakes in the file result.php which need to be corrected.

Love this layout and design. I am also still getting this error. I redownloaded the theme and the error has been there from the beginning. Is there a piece of the code I can change. It seems to have messed up the dashboard area as well.

I’ve tested your theme and i liked it so much, but unfortunately i had some problems. I hope that you can help me about that.
1. Is it compatible with WP 2.8.4 and also the plugins that are in?
2. On left from the sidebar appears bullets on every line.
3. On the sidebar, any extra widget (even if it’s only text) the border haven’t got rounded corners.
4. On the sidebar, i’m trying to add a text widget before the RSS, but i can’t. The higher i can get is under Twitter.
5. On the sidebar i can’t get rid of Pages.
I hope you can help me.

please redownload the keko (v1.0.3) and give it a testrun
1. yes. it is compatible with 2.8.4
2. the sidebar shouldn’t have any bullet, is there any other css from plugin
overwrite the keko css ( .sidebar_list li class )
3. the new version should fix this now
4. yes..the widget wrap start after the twitter or featured category..nothing
much can be done there unless you manually edit the sidebar.php.
5. sidebar should be clean of any widgetable like categories, pages etc. did
the pages widget activated on other themes?

Hello!
The problem is… when you go to a section of your website, in the menubar or bar sections, is not highlighted as with “Home” when you’re on the home page.
How to fix this problem?

I found it!!! Its the PHP Speedy WP. After i disable it the bullets gone.

i see you used script type on text widget..i copy paste the script you
used in my local test site and it did not work either.
maybe some string on your script type prevent the html to format.
test the text widget with normal text first..see if its work ok

yeap..its missing its title…you should add title to the
widget.
the header h2 or h3 for th sidebar are coded to wrap
the before widget round corner..if you didn’t insert a
title, it will flat out..
This theme said it was Twitter ready. But, when I downloaded it, the Twitter box didn’t come up on the righthand side of the web page. As you can tell, I’m a newbie. Any help you could send me would be appreciated. Thanks.

yes..you need to set your twitter id in admin > appearence > theme options
in there, you’ll see a block of setting where you can input your twitter
id and feedburner id and more
remember to hit save option located below of the screen after
you finished setting the options
i’m really trying to find out how i can move a sidebar widget before rss & twitter but i cant achieve it.

This is a great theme. I am just having issues with inserting the ads in the themes options section. The codes I am using are from commission junction. I insert theme in the area you detailed, but they are not showing up correctly in the blog. Has there been an update for this problem? or is there and direct you can give me to fix this? I have found any problems:
1 – The Twitter widget don’t work in IE browser.
2 – How do I add more widgets in sidebar? When I use one personal widget, the originals widget disapear. I get insert some widgets, but when I manually edit the file “sidebar.php”.
3 – Blocks ads don’t work in the home page. In other works normally .
4 – When you visit other pages of my blog, it is not highlith in the top menu, only the home page.
Anyway, congratulations for the theme. It is amazing.

It seems that you have to use the tag in the html editor at the point you want your post to stop. Simple but took me quite a while to find out…

Hey Michael, really awesome theme. I’ve been looking for quite some time and your theme best fits what I’m looking for. Two suggestions that would be awesome:
- Integrate Facebook as you did Twittter or something similar
- Add “Most Viewed” posts to the footer
When I was looking through it I came across an issue that when you go to post a comment and press tab to go from field to field it skips to the top of the page – actually the same thing happened to me when posting this comment
Here’s my browser info just in case:

Oh yeah, another thing I noticed with the main menu navigation is that the small image under the text in the menu gets cut off if the word is to short. I see it cutting off under the “Home” menu and “Links” menu. Not sure if you want to define like a minimum width for menus so this doesn’t occur. Sorry for picking it apart – just really like it and will be deploying it on my site!!

I have a request for you if you have time. I am trying to make this theme work in Greek and I would like to change the footer as well. Could you mail me the decoded version? I will keep the link and attribution to you as stated in the license.
Then I am encountering two problems. Althought I have excerpts on my posts, the entire post appears on my home page and makes it disturbingly too long. Excerpts only appear in categories, tags and archives. I tried to play around with the code, but no luck. I am no expert, any ideas?
Then one last thing. I want to use some extra widgets like events calendar, but when I drag any widget on my sidebar all the rest disappear. Any ideas on that? Everything else works fine and I’m really satisfied with it.

First, wanted to say this is an amazing theme!
Going to your preview site, I noticed the menubar does not change as the user scrolls from page-to-page. The first menu-bar item is highlighted for the default/home page, but none of the others appear to be. I’m using Firefox 3.6 — is it an issue with this browser, or another problem with this theme?

I just verified the menu-bar page is not highlighted in MSIE either.
“Home” is the only page that gets highlighted. None of the others work.

Too long is the article in any case, rather a bit short. He sometimes scratches but rather on the surface, but basically good.

Great work & never saw such a complete thing for my websites. Anyway I am confused b/w your keko & vibrant tech. Can we have some mixture of both with theme options? I would be willing to donate some in case I find a nice reason to do that. Plz get me keko with top four feature boxes of vibrant tech. This would suffice. Can you do that for me?
So after playing around with the theme, I must say I love it. However, when i attempt to open my site in IE (7.0.57) I get an error with no description. The only thing I have been able to find thus far is that IE is complaining about a Keko/none folder not being found. Any one else having this issue?
I believe I a step closer, as it seems there is some java scripting that IE does not like. Sorry for rappid fire postings.
